Happy summer!  We are excited for a fun event filled summer in the Colorado Rockies.  Today starts the BvrCrk Summer Rodeo!  And Young Colors will be there!

Such an exciting time of the year…We see guests from all over the world.  Summer is a beautiful time in the Colorado Rockies.  We see lots of families in our stores and love to share in their adventures and activities here in Colorado.

We are a Colorado Based Company – Donna is a fabric designer using indigenous art processes from around the World.  Batik is a resist dye process – wherever the wax is it will not take the color.  Batik uses layers of wax and color.

Donna designs lots of Western genre products…she gets inspired by the Western and Cowboy themes.  Here is a sampling of the items we will have at the Rodeo tonight – cowboy boots, crocheted cowboy hats, hand appliquéd T’s, even some of her Western Color Stories….all at tonight’s  Rodeo.   We will also bring some items from the newest store in the Village….Cowboys and Daisies.

The Cowboy hat has a great story…Dona and I were in Hawaii at the beach with one of our Crocheted Brim Hats – she wanted sun on her shoulders but shade on her face and neck – she was reading a book…so we used fishing line to rig up…little did we know that we had just designed the Crocheted Cowboy hat….we use a flexible wire rim so the hat holds its shape and is shapeable.  Our crocheted hats are perfect for Rodeo – packable, washable and great for sun protection.

We’ll see you at the BvrCrk Rodeo or in our store - We are located at the bus stop by the Covered Bridge in the Beaver Creek Village.

Happy summer!
