Giving Back

The Young Colors company is centered around helping their local community as well as supporting entire villages abroad. Working with multi-generational family owned manufacturers, artisans, crocheters, and knitters, Young Colors is able to help in ways that others can't. We have supported generations of families by supplying them with jobs, bettering their living and working environment, helping them revive their inherited fabric artwork, and giving their children art supplies. We also partner with Art for the Nations on donation projects. Which the most recent is providing the communities we work with abroad, school supplies for their children and cookware for their homes. These are the items they said they needed the most and would be the biggest help to each family that we employ.
Stateside we joined the Birthday Project - since they started in Dallas in 2011 - by donating thousands of pieces of clothing & accessories each year. It's one of our favorite "projects" to work on! Knowing these kids-in-need will receive something new at a birthday party is pure joy!
Their mission is to bring JOY to children experiencing homelessness through the MAGIC of a birthday party.
We believe that JOY changes lives, and a JOYful community can change the world.
With the help of our birthday enthusiasts (that’s you!) we host monthly birthday parties at homeless and transitional living facilities across the country. We celebrate all children (ages 1-21) that have a birthday that month, and we invite all children and family members staying at the agency to join us for the party.
Our one hour celebration is a chance for kids to dream big! Our parties are so much more than a celebration – they are a loud exclamation point that kids matter!
