The old adage - April Showers bring May Flowers....hummmm here's a twist to the adage - we woke up to snow this AM...a beautiful layer of white sprinkled over colorful tulips and green grass on the golf course. Some questions to ponder about our wonderfully complex Creation:    Why does the sun make us happy and dark gloomy days make us sad?       Why do colors change so much with different amounts of sunlight throughout the day?           Isn't it fitting that Mothers day is in May  - the month of flowers? We received 2 feet of snow in Salida at our office...power has been out all day...therefore no phones, server, computers, staff... Plus we had many trees and limbs downed...we are cleaning up and back in the office Monday. Who is ready for Summer????  Ok 2 more days of skiing this season...yes the skiiing this AM was beautiful - powder is like skiing from cloud to cloud. Have a great weekend! Rob  

Here's a quick note about the website building process- a DIY project like none other.  After a month on the learning curve we are about to launch the new Young Colors shopping experience! Here's how it went: about 4 months of researching platforms, 2 weeks of testing with a free 2 week trial from Shopify, then 3 weeks of loading, building content,and working out bugs with apps and themes. The team consisted of a data entry specialist (aka 120 wpm baseball mom) and a creative guru (aka our new online store manager and mother of 4)... can you say JUGGLE?...

Even though there is still snow on the ground, the first glimmer of the sun makes me want to put on a tank and head to the park! Slow down... first things first. First, we have to wait at least until the snow melts before packing up the picnic baskets. Then, we have to get some new spring clothes because (never fails), our kids have all grown over the winter months and we dare not send them out in hot pants and mid drifts! So, put away your mittens and scarf... and say HELLO to SPRING!
